Just because I want to make you all jealous of me....

So Matt's family is here for a visit so we went down to Panama City Beach and rented a boat from the Navy Base for the day. We went out to a cool place called Shell Island. I cannot even tell you how much fun we had! There were sand bars everywhere, so you could just jump out of the boat in the middle of the ocean and and be waist deep. I guess that area also has one of the highest concentrations of bottle nosed dolphins in the world. We got to swim with them, touch them, play with them , it was SOOOOOOOOO awesome. So here are some pictures to make you all jealous. :)

Another little project.

So about a year after we got married we were given a table and chairs by some friends of my parents who were getting new stuff, we took them gladly because we didn't have one. Well, we've had it for 3 years now and kept talking about when we would get new table and chairs that look nice and match our stuff a little better. Then, Matt decided he would save a couple thousand bucks and just refinish the table and chairs we already have and retile the tile table top. I was skeptical, but of course, Matt is amazing and the final project looks AWESOME.

What our table used to look like.

another coat of stain, and a love note from Matt. :)

HOORAY!!! Our New (looking) table and chairs

Another angle. The worst part of the project was probably sanding down and staining all four of the chairs, because there was so much detail work. I'm SO HAPPY with how they turned out. I just ordered some cute off white place mats from Pottery Barn and can't wait for them to come to finish on the table. Love it.

So sleepy

While I was cleaning our carpets the other day Chase was in his high chair eating his lunch, when I looked up at him this is what I found. This was the first time I have ever had a kid fall asleep in the high chair. So cute.

Hard Times...

About a week ago we found out that my Grandma Mimi (Mary Storms) has cancer. I wouldn't post about it, but I know that most of the people who read my blog know her really well. It's been pretty devistating for me and it hurts so badly that I'm not there to be with her in the hospital and spend time with her. They don't know for sure what kind of cancer it is yet, but they are going to do surgery on Wednesday to remove the tumor and hopefully learn more. So please, keep her in your prayers!

They are my children....

even though they look nothing like me.

Things I would like to comment on....

1. Don't you people who put music on your blogs know that I look at them when my kids are taking their naps. Inevitably I open your blog, the music BLASTS from my computer, scares the crap outta me, and wakes up my kids. Have a little respect for me huh. :) (j/k)
2. One week from this Friday we find out where we are going.....going insane thinking about it.
3. In the last four days I have read all of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" books, what can I say? I'm 15 at heart.
4. I will probably not read "The Host". Stephanie Meyer should be devoting ALL of her time to the "Twilight" series, think of how much sooner the fourth book would have come out if she hadn't been wasting all of her time writing other books.
5. Hallie has starting peeing on the floor when she is in time-out. So annoying. I can just read her little mind "oh yeah mom, you think you're punishing me....watch what you're going to have to clean up by the time I'm done in here." *exhale*
6. Matt is eating the cookie dough that I had hidden in the fridge to eat when no one else was looking. Being the kind wife that I am....I have said nothing about it.
7. Tried roller blading again today for the first time in a LONG time (the roller blades and I had a little incident a few years back that had resulted in a very long separation). I looked like an arm flailing idiot.
8. Target has great T-Shirts made by Mossimo right now for 6 bucks a piece. Every color under the sun and I really believe that they could make ANYONE look skinnier. I love them. I have 4 now.
9. I love my family, even Hallie. :)
10. I miss Nicole, Kirsti and Julie after having finished the Traveling Pants books. I would call all of you....but a few of you are REALLY bad at returning calls. Actually, just one of you. I won't mention any names (Nicole).
11. I have a tendency to put new toenail polish over the old stuff rather than remove the old stuff. It saves time and makes it ALOT more fun to pick it all off when it gets thick enough.
12. I am not creative. Enough said.
13. I have a testimony of my church. I know it is true and it has blessed my life in ways I could never put into words. (I know, heavy line after all of these light hearted topics. Sorry the throw you a little).
14. I love my husband. And I think he's the best looking man ever.
15. Chase makes me melt. I just wish he would hold still and let me cozy him. He's so handsome all of a sudden. Totally going to be a lady killer.
16. I'm so sad that Kelsey is moving. Now who am I going to have come over and make meals for my family because I'm a failure as a cook. (I just act like I'm a failure so she'll feel bad for me and come and cook for us. She makes SUCH yummy food). And I really don't think we will be able to take the time to teach anyone how to play Settlers of Cattan to replace you guys.
17. I love my life.
18.The End.
