Missing my Matt

He's been gone now for one week and two days and it seems like a lot longer than that. Hallie and I both miss him so much. I've always known how much I love Matt...but you don't realize that it's even more than you knew until he's gone. Hallie and I are trying to stay busy. She's been coping with Daddy being gone by clinging on the my cousing Brady and her Uncle Steve and any other man that she comes in contact with. It breaks my heart. I did a little theraputic maternity shopping last night (for some reason spending money on clothes always makes me feel better, no matter what the problem is) and I came out with more maternity clothes than I have ever bought before combined. And cute ones too! I love Gap Maternity, they're my new favorite. And I feel like most of the clothes I got I can wear when I'm not pregnant too because they're not very maternity looking, which is a good thing. Anyways, here's a pic of Hallie a few days ago that I just email to Matt. She's such a little girl now, I love it.

Who's View?

The show "The View" has been on my mind a lot lately, and I know as the show has become more controversial it is becoming more and more popular. Everyone waiting to hear what ridiculous, unthoughout, uneducated thing Rosie is going to say next. I've gone back and forth about writing about it, because doesn't talking about it give them what they want? Well I can't keep my mouth shut anymore. I've always considered myself to be respectful of other people's opinions and point of views. I have my own of course, and they are not easily changed...however I respect that everyone has been raised differently, had different experiences, have different minds, and all of these things effect their perspective on life and political views. That said, I hate the View! They try to make it appear as if all political sides are equally represented by putting in Barbara Walters, who choses not to express any personal opinion on ANYTHING because of the possibility it could harm her career, a young mom who is conservative but was a no name prior to being on the show and once again is very young (but I do like her). And two loud mouthed, speak when they have no idea what they are talking about, liberal comedians. One of whom is a lesbian in a relationship raising children (and trying to pass it off to as a normal family). While I do feel that homosexuality is a sin, I have always and will always treat gays and lesbians with kindness and respect as people and leave their personal life as their business, but I am totally against bringing children into that kind of an atmosphere. Kids deserve to be raised with a Mom and a Dad, and no chilld should have to have anyless if possible. Anyways, I'm getting a little side tracked. Whenever a topic is discussed on that show the moment any kind of conservative opinions are brought up by the young mom (I can't remember her name) Rosie and the Red head talk so loudly and jump down her throat so quickly she is shut down before she can even begin. In my opinion that show is nothing more than a network television trying to push their social agenda and political opinions through uninformed loud mouths who get people's attention because they have been notable people in Hollywood who for some unknown reason people look up to and respect. I'm not saying these two women don't do anything right. I know Rosie does a lot for children and charities and whatnot and that is respectable. But anyone in the media who is openly trying to destroy the foundation of families and the perimiters for them which our father in heaven has set I can't help but openly object to. And that is my "View". Thoughts?

No time is a good time...

to have to say goodbye to your husband for 3 months. Matt received a letter about a week and a half ago telling him that he was going to be reporting to officer training school in May. (For those of you who don't know, he's decided to join the AirForce in air battle management). Ok so May, that means he will miss our baby being born and I'll have to be a single Mom of TWO kids for a few weeks until he would be done in August. But at least we finally know when he'll be leaving. But wait..then he goes to meet with his recruiter last Tuesday to go over some paper work and the Officer has good news! A spot has opened up in the March 19th class and Matt can leave in two weeks. TWO WEEKS!! Is that good news? Yeah, kind of. He'll be done with OTS before the baby is born and we can move on to the next phase of our lives a few months sooner. But I'm not mentally prepared for him to leave. I don't even like to get up and go to the bathroom by myself in the middle of the night, I can't live by myself! Who's going to put Hallie in timeout when I'm laughing at how naughty she can be (laughing in disbelief of course). Who's going to take out the trash and the bags of stinky diapers I put out on the back porch until Matt gets home? Who's going to watch Grey's Anatomy, American Idol, Law and Order, and the Office with me? I think I'm going to cry. Who's going to try to make me go to relief society on sunday? :( I know he's doing the right thing...I just wish this whole three months of seperation thing never had to happen. I love him so much.
