Things around here are kind of starting to get back to normal after my surgery. I'm pretty much off the pain killers (kinda sad in a way....those were fun) which makes me a much more normal person again. Grandma Dona and Mallory left this morning to head back to Utah (REALLY sad, they were so wonderful! We couldn't have made it through this week without them) so that means I'm back on full time Mom duty. Kinda tough still because I can't lift anything for one more weeks, that means Chase and I are having some issues already. I'm still pretty sore, but it's manageable. I went and bought a button up shirt for the first time since I was like 15. I almost started crying when it buttoned right up without a problem. Wonderful. Hallie did a lot of testing poor grandma and Mallory while they were here, luckily Mallory had no problem sending her to time out when necessary. So what's next for us? Well lets see......On Aug 20 then kids and I head to California to help Mimi and spend time with my family for a while. Matt's going to be gone to training in Washington, so we'll actually be in Cali for about 2 months. We're really looking forward to it, we haven't seen my family since XMas so a long visit will be kinda nice. Matt is in charge of getting the house all packed up and sent off to Germany at the end of August (poor guy). Matt will get out to California in late October, we'll spend a week there for Halloween, then we're off to Germany on Nov 1 or 2. Holy Crap.....I'm moving to Germany.

I'm happy to see you freaking out a little about moving to Germany...I would be! It'll be a big, fun, crazy change.
I so wish we were going to be back in California for Halloween time. We were actually going to be (Nevada Days) but with Marissa's wedding and such, we're traveling a bit too much this fall. It was really fun last year to let the kid's be together though, and I'm sad to miss out this year.
is matt going to washington state? kindof unreal that you're moving to germany. .....dont think about it too much...at least i wont.

Yes Holy Crap! It will be such a fun experience though for your kids-they are at a good age to do it too since they are not in school and will be able to pick up the language. How great! I hope you like it and that you keep posting lots-it's my dream to go to Germany some day!

I'm glad you're feeling better! Recovery from anything can be hard! For sure call me when you are in Utah! Germany is going to be so much fun! I'm jealous (I'm also hoping to make it out there in like january or februaryish. paul's brother is on a mission there, so we'll see).
Good luck as you continue to recover. I really do not like not being able to lift things when I have kids!
I cannot believe you are moving to Germany either!! That is complete craziness. But, I really really hope I get to see you while you were in California for so long! Are you coming to Carly's wedding? Fun that you will get to spend some good family time before going to Germany. (Sad for Matt to have to pack the house by himself though. . .. but lucky you!)

I'm jealous of you guys. Mexico Beach is amazing and you've lived it up as far as I can tell. Plus you guys get to go to Germany, blessed, blessed, blessed.
I can hardly pack for a weekend trip! I can't imagine packing to move to Germany! Hope everything works out well!
