He does all his own stunts...
We had such a fun day yesterday!! (totally sarcastic). Matt brought Chase in to me in bed yesterday morning as he was walking out the door to work, kissed me goodbye and he was out the door. I was still laying in bed and talking to Chase while he wobbled all around my room when all of a sudden...down he went. He fell and smacked his face on the edge of bed (which is low to the ground). I scrambled out of bed to grab him because he hit HARD and when I scooped him up, there was blood running down his face. I don't do well with blood. Right across the top of his cheek bone was split open and he was screaming his head off. I put pressure on it, butterfly bandaged it, put another bandaide over that to catch all the blood, called Matt and told him to turn around and come home, got Hallie out of bed and dressed, and headed out the door to the ER. Luckily, on a Monday morning when Dr's offices are open the ER is not so horrible of a place to be. They gave us the option of stitches or steri-strips (they said if he picked at the steri strips we would have to bring him back for stitches). We went with not dealing with stitches and decided to have the strips. It was trauma for me letting them strap him into a baby-straight jacket so they could clean him up and patch him up. Good times. so anyways, now Chase has a few more reasons to whine CONSTANTLY. Hopefully those teeth pop through soon, cause I'm about to lose my mind.

OH MY!!! What a nightmare. I sure hope he popps those teeth soon too. Really, a child that is teething is NOT fun! And now to have hurt face too. Oh man!
Oh, poor baby!! Broadie has that exact same tee shirt (I do my own stunts) .... what fun kids are huh!! Boys will be boys, I'd get used to the blood now ... I hear it just gets worse! :)
poor baby!! but i love that picture of hallie. she just looks so cute and grown up in the month i haven't seen her!
hallie looks like such a big girl. and poor chase, hopefully he doesnt pick at the steri-strips and increase the trauma by getting stiches.
Oh so sad! At least he will have a good story to tell the girls when he gets older! It seems so weird to me that guys like having battle wounds!
Allison threw up and had a fever with every tooth that popped through! How many teeth do we have? Yeah a lot and it sucked!
Poor baby Chase!
Hallie looks like Rebecca in that picture.
Poor baby Chase!
Hallie looks like Rebecca in that picture.
I keep waiting for Jacob to do something similar. You guys always seem to have such fun experiences with the doctor and ER. At least it makes for good stories after the fact!
Sara, your poor little Chase! I am so sorry. Being a mom seriously scares me because of this type of stuff. I don't have the first idea what I would need to do. Yikes!
Hey, I need your address to send you an invitation. I know you are coming home for a bit before going to Germany... so give me where you will be the next 2-3 weeks. Email at carlyjane35@gmail.com
Thanks!
so sucky. sorry.....
What a black eye! I hope we never need stiches in this house.
I can't wait to see you guys when you come out/back home. (Where ever "home" is for you!)
now he looks tough AND cute!
and we are going to be in CA the first week of OCtober just before we leave on a cruise! we should meet up and chat "in real life" :)
Just did a blog catch up-so sad about Chase-hope his teeth come in soon! Hallie is hysterical. I am jealous of the dolphin swim and how cute that pic of you and Matt and the kids is on the beach-ADORABLE! Let's see anything else? I can't remember-but your family is darling. Have you checked my blog lately? A new addition came a little early!
sara you need to re-invite me to the sister's blog. I keep trying to get on it and it says that my invitation has expired. pretty please! and then I promise I will post! love, Mary Hannah
