I'm not afraid to admit it. I love the twilight series. I read it three times, the whole series. One of those times I read them out loud to Matt over a series of long road trips against his will. Or so he says. When I'd stop reading he'd say, "what? are you done?" I think we both know he loved them almost as much as I did, but if he ever admitted it he'd lose his man status or whatever.
It annoys me when people attack Stephanie Meyer and her "lack of writing ability". Psht. Really? If she's such a bad writer then why was she able to suck the entire world into a make believe life of vampires and warewolves and love triangles? Sure, she's no Shakespear, but he's not that fun to read anyways. Can't understand a word he says. :) She gave me what I wanted. To feel like a giddy fourteen year old girl. Who doesn't want that?
Ok, that said, I hated the movies. They kind of broke my heart. I loved the books so so much and the movies made the books feel cheesy and lame. They ruined it for me. That is, until tonight. I just got back from seeing Eclipse and Hallelujah PEOPLE we have a SUCCESS! It made me so happy. I was finally seeing on the screen what I had pictured in my head (except Rosalie is prettier in my head and Edward is better looking). There were still a few cheesy lines, but nothing I couldn't handle. Someone gave Bella botox and acting lessons because she finally stopped scrunching her eyebrows together and was actually believable. It restored my faith in Hollywoods ability to tell a good story and left me wanting more.
Breaking Dawn......can't wait.

I liked the books too! :) I read them so quick. I haven't seen eclipse yet. I am going to have to netflix it. Can't wait!
How I felt when I saw eclipse!! I didn't totally hate Bella and she actually looked really pretty. Edward needs to smile more.
Amen sister. I could just copy and paste this whole email...except reading the series to my husband. This is just how I felt too.
totally agree, even edward didnt bother me as bad in the new movie. i almost died last year when he took his shirt off to reveal hairy nipples and a scrawny 12 yr old boy chest. yuck.
I finally saw Eclipse on Saturday. I would have to agree with you. It was my favorite so far. The books of course are soooo much better. Kristin Stewart just drove me crazy with all of her weird face expressions. I agree with you, she is a btter actrees now. I don't think Robert P does the best job either bu the is ok. I mean the way I have Edward built up in my headand the way Stephanie Meyer writes him, I mean what do you expect. :) ok i have written too much haha. Miss you!!!
i love it!!! it's like you took MY thoughts about the books and movies and put them into your words. brilliant!!!
Just checking in and loved this post. Have you seen pictures of the actress that plays Rosalie in real life? She's a very natural brunette and dark skin and is gorgeous. But all wrong for a beautiful pale blond. That bothered me SOOO much for the first movie.
P.S. Kelsey's sister :)
