Welcome to London.

We loved London. So much history, so much food, so much shopping. Everything a girl could want. Some of our good friends kept our kids while we enjoyed a 4 day romantic weekend sightseeing, taking in a good show, and over indulging our bellies. Mmmm. Just to clear up any confusion as to why I seem to be wearing the same clothes EVERY day...it's because I am. We could only bring one carry-on bag each onto the plane. My backpack only had the bare necessities. Don't judge. Here's the first two days worth of pictures:

Matt and I in front of Parliment and Big Ben. Seeing Big Ben for me was kind of like seeing the Eiffel Tower. It's been in so many movies that you could see a picture of this clock anywhere and immediately name it. So cool to get to see it with my own eyes.

We got kinda bored smiling for the camera and starting playing with the sports mode in front of important buildings. We have some REALLY funny pictures. This is Buckingham Palace behind me.

Loved this phone booth.

Artsy.
Photobucket
Parliment again. Super cool building.

This is a picture from the upper level of a city bus of london at sundown. I just loved all the hustle and bustle it captured.

Hmmm, parliment and big ben again. Kinda feels like Chevy Chase's European Vacation.
Photobucket
WOW! Parliment!

Matt's hero shot in front of the statue at Buckingham Palace. The Queen saw him standing there through one of her windows and sent a guard out to see if Matt would be her date to a ball that night because he is SOOOO handsome. He respectfully declined telling the gaurd he was married, but flattered. jk.

Matt jumping in front of Parliment.

Hanging out at St. James park near Buckingham palace.

The tube (metro) in London is super handy. All kinds of characters down there. We saw a 60 year old-ish white dude walking around in a leather halter top, pink bra, leather pants, and spiked high heels. Awesome.

Anyone who grew up with me should appreciate this picture. The Lebaron family just so happened to be in London the same time we were and it was so so so fun to get to meet up with them. What a small world! More pictures to come!
