Its been snowing....for months.

I guess this is what people call "winter".

I'm so so so so ready for this blasted white stuff to go away and start taking long walks and bike rides with our kids. Cabin fever is driving me to the brink of insanity.

Oh my gosh, I feel you. I've recently turned into a very impatient, sometimes violent, murmuring, grudge-holding, potty-mouthed, perma-PMSer. And it's all because of the snow.

I came rushing into the living room yesterday upon hearing a commotion of screeching and blubbering and found Sam watching a golf tournament... palm trees swaying... the waves of Carmel crashing against the shoreline. I still haven't been able to retrieve him from his cabin fever funk.

Winter is the devil.

Probably shouldn't mention that it's 60 degrees here, sunny and lovely. Also the tulips in our front yard are blooming. In FEBRUARY. This is so odd for me, but I can't complain!
Also, at least you seem to have observed the first rule of living where there is winter: have quality winter outerwear. At least your kids look well outfitted. Do you have good winter stuff? It's a lot easier to not feel cooped up if you can in fact get dressed properly to enjoy the snow as much as possible. It's much more stifling if you end up cold every time you go out.
Good luck enduring the end of winter. Let's hope it moves on quickly!

When I was young I loved winter, the snow, skiing, snowmobiles, sledding and all that went with it. As I gained in age and wisdom I came to understand just how badly winter sucks.
