To all you fashionistas out there:
Skinny jeans should only be worn by REALLY skinny people. Period. I do not include myself in this elite group of lucky women. However, I do envy them. I think many of us females, when we first heard the words "skinny jeans" ran out to the nearest shopping mall in search of these jeans supposedly made to make us "skinnny". What we didn't realize is the term skinny jeans means... ONLY MEANT FOR really REALLY skinny people. I've seen many a woman wear them anyways and always think to myself..."does she know that skinny jeans make her look bigger?" The only reason I think this is because, they make me look bigger...so I know how they feel. Wanting to be in style with everyone else, but putting on a pair of pants and feeling like Chris Farley in Tommy Boy singing "Fat man in a little coat". Oh skinny jeans, why must you torture me with your cuteness on skinny people while you shed an unflattering light on the rest of us?

i totally agree. and i go so far as to add that they must have shapely legs. if you're skinny but have yucky shaped legs, um, no.
agreed. I tried some on and it looked like i was going to go compete is horseback riding.
What if we used to be skinny, and we are in denial about our new, not so skinny, bods? Can we wear them?
Oh so true.
Even us skinny people can't always rock them, they aren't a style I ever wear.
I couldn't agree more. I think I tried on one pair and never did again. Plus you don't want to be that girl in denial who thinks she looks great but in reality she's got a total muffin top and a huge behind squeezed into her jeans.
AGREED. And I have never worn a pair of skinny jeans.
Oh Sara, I couldnt agree more. You say just the thing I am thinking!
sara, are you trying to tell me that i dont look good in the skinny jeans i have been wearing for the past few months??? maybe someone should have told me before i walked out the door looking bad. :)
Haha. Brady always says that most people look like an ice cream cone in them.=)
HA! This post is so true it hurts. Skinny jeans give people what my friends and I like to call, PB&J legs... ya know, those legs that are the same width all the way down. Also, most PB&J legs cave inward at the knee, even when the PB&J leg owner's feet are far apart. If that makes sense.
Anyway, unless you're SUPER skinny, it's PB&J for you! I secretly tried on a pair once and did the walk of shame out of the fitting rooms and back to the "fit n' flare" jean section where I belong...
Oh, and I highly DOUBT you can't pull off the skinny. So don't make me mad. Jus' sayin.
