This kid and her ears, seriously.

I feel like we live at the ENT's office, and have for the past two years. I would guess that in her 3 1/2 years of life, she's had at least 30 ear infections. They put in tubes, only to have to redo one of them because her ear was constantly bleeding. Since we've been here in Germany, she is on to third ear infection. We went to the ENT a few weeks ago only to be told that one of her tubes has fallen INTO her middle ear and she would eventually have to have surgery to remove it. Since then, the tube seems to have made it's way back to where it belongs and the ENT is hopeful it will stay there.
ANYWAYS, the point of this post is that last night Matt and I were both up the entire night with Hallie crying and screaming, running a fever, telling us her ear hurts, and yellow fluid literally DRIPPING out of her ear. I feel so bad for her, but am so frustrated with her ears at the same time. I always ask the doctors if there is something I'm doing wrong, or something I should be doing differently, and they always tell me "no". We were back at the doctors office again today, only to be put back on antibiotics and ear drops. Going to lose my mind.....

oh my gosh the poor little thing!!!! The worst is when there is just nothing you can do but hold her while she cries. So sad.

Sarah,
This is Kelsey's mom. I would like to send you something I'd like you to try in her ear. I'll get an address from Kelsey and ask that you give this a try. It is a silver liquid that I watched a video on that said amazing things about ear infections. I really think it is worth a try. All you do is put a few drops in and have Hallie lie with it for 15 minutes or so two times a day. Pretty simple and this man claimed it is like magic on ear infections. And certainly easier than surgery!

I envy all of your amazing adventures in Europe... both had and to come. What a dream!
Thanks for your comment, your compliments are so nice to hear. Thanks!
And I totally think that Olive looks like Meg too! In fact we were on our trip and I pulled out a pic o f Megan when she was a baby... it was scary how alike they looked.

Poor Hallie! And poor you! I can only imagine how frustrated you are. You'd think it wouldn't be such a hard thing for the doctors to fix...I mean it's an ear, not brain surgery. I always thought tubes were the fix-all. Apparently you guys are the lucky 1 in a million. And about calling, I lost your number so I can't call you, but I would love to talk to you if you get a minute!
