Who's View?
The show "The View" has been on my mind a lot lately, and I know as the show has become more controversial it is becoming more and more popular. Everyone waiting to hear what ridiculous, unthoughout, uneducated thing Rosie is going to say next. I've gone back and forth about writing about it, because doesn't talking about it give them what they want? Well I can't keep my mouth shut anymore. I've always considered myself to be respectful of other people's opinions and point of views. I have my own of course, and they are not easily changed...however I respect that everyone has been raised differently, had different experiences, have different minds, and all of these things effect their perspective on life and political views. That said, I hate the View! They try to make it appear as if all political sides are equally represented by putting in Barbara Walters, who choses not to express any personal opinion on ANYTHING because of the possibility it could harm her career, a young mom who is conservative but was a no name prior to being on the show and once again is very young (but I do like her). And two loud mouthed, speak when they have no idea what they are talking about, liberal comedians. One of whom is a lesbian in a relationship raising children (and trying to pass it off to as a normal family). While I do feel that homosexuality is a sin, I have always and will always treat gays and lesbians with kindness and respect as people and leave their personal life as their business, but I am totally against bringing children into that kind of an atmosphere. Kids deserve to be raised with a Mom and a Dad, and no chilld should have to have anyless if possible. Anyways, I'm getting a little side tracked. Whenever a topic is discussed on that show the moment any kind of conservative opinions are brought up by the young mom (I can't remember her name) Rosie and the Red head talk so loudly and jump down her throat so quickly she is shut down before she can even begin. In my opinion that show is nothing more than a network television trying to push their social agenda and political opinions through uninformed loud mouths who get people's attention because they have been notable people in Hollywood who for some unknown reason people look up to and respect. I'm not saying these two women don't do anything right. I know Rosie does a lot for children and charities and whatnot and that is respectable. But anyone in the media who is openly trying to destroy the foundation of families and the perimiters for them which our father in heaven has set I can't help but openly object to. And that is my "View". Thoughts?

Sounds pretty on to me. I don't really watch much TV during the daytime--except Sesame Street and Curious George, of course. But I have heard people express similar opinions of that show.
SARA I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I was watching the show one time (on accident) and they were talking about a husband having an affair and how the wife over reacted, because after all it was only one affair!!! The young mom was like ONE AFFAIR! there should be no affairs, and crazy red hed idiot was like, you are too young to understand dear! These women are trying to single handedly ruin family and family morals, I can't believe ABC lets them air considering they are supposedly all about family and morals! GRRR it frustrates me sooo much!
I completely agree-I was accidently watching the other day too, on the way out of the room and they were talking about The Secret. I am a firm believer in people bettering (is that a word?) their situations, and The Secret is all about people finding joy and happiness in all areas of their lives, and Rosie shot it down over and over because of one part of the DVD that talked about thinking about the brand new car you wanted. She totally took it out of context and made it sound like The Secret was all about getting things. I don't know if you guys have seen it, but it is all about having abundance in all areas of your life, not just wealth, helping others and feeling gratitude for everything. Who finds fault in that? I'm with you 100%-the show is crap!
