ELMO

It's all she cares about in life. I don't understand it. We really don't watch much sesame street. We've never encouraged her liking the little red monster in any way. She has one (one of her MANY) book that has elmo in it and she's OBSESSED. From the minute she wakes up in the morning "Elmo, elmo, elmo, elmo, elmo" until I turn on the Elmo DVD we got her for Christmas (she was WAY obsessed prior to christmas so we knew it was a video she would like) then she sits and could seriously watch it for hours. I could sing every song from the stupid show... I know exactly what Mr. Noodle or his brother are going to do wrong when Elmo asks one of them how to do something. I know that Elmo ALWAYS asks a baby after he asks the kids how to do something, and yet, the baby never answers. I know they have the same order to every show of first learning what we're going to talk about, then Dorothy has a question. The question first goes to Mr. Noodle, then the kids, then the baby. I could go on and on, but I'm boring myself. Just a random blog about Elmo and a picture of Hallie in her perfect little Elmo world. Love it.

Wow. We could probably write those dumb Elmo shows together. I think the repetition is what they love. PATRICK knows what will come next! It actually works out pretty good--he gets up at 7:30 and Elmo starts shortly after that. It's like his morning coffee--gets him going and gives me ten minutes to drag myself out of bed and fix his oatmeal. Whatever works, I guess. I think we need a DVD for those crisis moments in our day that happen way after PBS airs Elmo.
Also, I have to upload it soon but I have video of Patrick and his little friend Anna dancing to Hokey Pokey Elmo (hers) and Limbo Elmo (his). Hysterical!

Ahh welcome to my world! We have a vid of Elmo's world too, its all about Babies, then Dogs, then Farms.
Elaine is the same way about Elmo. But there is hope. Adele is almost 4 and her interest is waning. :)

Sesame Street Karaoke....do not get it.
