Tenerife, Canary Island, SPAIN.

Where to start, I don't even know.  This vacation was so so needed and SO so relaxing.  Usually when you vacation in Europe you drop into your bed every night exhausted from a long day of walking and sightseeing.  Not this trip, nope.  We spent an equal amount of time laying at the pool at playing at the water park in our resort as we did seeing things on the island.  It was perfect.  And warm.  So warm.  I missed the sun more than I knew.  So lets start out here with some pictures of the resort we stayed out.  It was amazing, right on the beach.  Wonderful pools and the kids LOVED the water park.

Matt took this picture from our balcony of our room.  This is Chase and I chillin by the pool.
Here's Hallie in her own form of paradise.  The water park was the BEST part of the trip for them.
Happy happy children.
Chase can sometimes be a little bit chicken, but not at this water park.  He was fearless and tried out all 6 water slides over and over again.
I know, you're gasping and yelling at the screen of your computer and disgusted that I would get into a hot tub while I'm pregnant.  Well let me put your mind at ease...it was more of a "luke warm" tub.  There ya go, breathe deeply.
The view from our balcony.  So so nice.
Because Tenerife has a big old Volcano on it, most of the beaches are black sand beaches.  Matt and I have seen a lot of beaches, but never a black sand beach.  We were pretty impressed.  Oh yeah, you think normal sand can burn your feet on a hot day?  You should walk around in black sand.  Yowza.

Here's a picture of the kids in front of El Teide (the volcano).  We may be easily impressed...but we loved all the lava rock.
Sunset on the beach.  Heaven.

So this church was pretty interesting, it had a black virgin Mary and Child.  She is the patron of the Canary Islands.  Also, the view was pretty spectacular.

Hoping to get closer and closer to looking pregnant and further and further from looking like I have a big, fat gut.

The kids loved this little ocean pool they could play in without the threat of incoming waves.

I wish I could take the credit for this picture....but it's Matt who gets the props.  Well done husband.

Checking out a field of lava rocks.

Trying to be Marilyn Monroe...failing.

For those of you who like order in blogs....this one will drive you crazy.  Anyways, this is back at the calm little ocean pool.

Then back to a field of lava rock on our way up to the Volcano.

Enjoying our sunset.

Hallie loving her ice cream.  We dropped all healthy eating habits for this trip and ate ice cream at LEAST once a day.  It was lovely.

Beautiful little girl.

Chase putting on his GQ pose for me.

I love this face.  This is one of the back sand beaches we spent our day at.

Matt and Hallie trying to stack rocks on the beach.

Happy babies.

What's this?  Back at the church again?  :)  I love these pictures.

 Footies in the sand.

Hallie was being a drama queen for this picture.

Aaaaaand we'll finish off this picture session with a nice, big plate of Paella.  Mmmm mm good.

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow we head to the Canary Islands.  Tomorrow.  Tomorrow.  Tomorrow.  I can't stop thinking about tomorrow.  Just  you wait for some Kick-A pictures.  Uh huh, they're coming.
