I had a really good workout at the gym yesterday. 45 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes of toning, and 10 minutes jump roping (holy crap....have you tried jumping rope lately? I can barely move today). Anyways, really good morning. I love getting moving in the morning, coming home and taking shower, and enjoying the boost in energy that I have for the rest of the day.
But on the way HOME from the gym yesterday, I ate a bag of these. We're not talking a SMALL bag either. I have a what I like to call a "hint of lime disorder". Have you ever eaten from this bag of delicious goodness? I don't buy them anymore, because I can't stop eating them. I gave in to the urge yesterday, and basically cancelled out my "really great workout" all for a bag a tostitos. *sigh*

Have you ever.....

Had someone come into your Salon and ask you for a "Chuck Liddell" haircut? Do you even KNOW who he is??? Well he's an Ultimate Fighter with a really short, really WIDE mohawk. So here is a tribute to my first ever "Chuck Ladell haircut".
And my boys. I love going on our little walks to the horse pasture to feed the horses our rotten apples. :) Chase seems to have inherited my uncanny ability to sleep for days if left alone. This kid wakes up at 11:00 am on a regular basis. He goes to bed at 7!! He loves his bed. He gets his blankie and beep and comes to me saying "night night? night night?" And I smile and say "yeah, lets go night night". And he cozies into my shoulder for a minute while we stand by his crib, then he reaches down for me to put in there. Since Matt takes Hallie to preschool in the mornings on his way to work, it means that I have gotten to sleep in A LOT lately. I need to stop being so lazy. :)

sometimes you just need to take a break from folding your laundry....and hold your little chickens.

Wish I had taken a picture...

Picture this:

I'm getting ready for church yesterday morning (we're running late, as usual) and I'm drying my hair in the bathroom. As I'm drying my hair, I'm thinking to myself "I REALLY hope Matt is getting the kids ready for church downstairs while I'm getting myself ready so we won't be later for church than we already are". Then I think "I love my husband, because he helps me get the kids ready for church". So I continue curling my hair (for the one day a week that my hair leaves it's ponytail) when Matt runs into the bathroom with Chase in his arms. Here's how the conversation went:

Me: What are you doing???

Matt: (As he is stripping off Chase's footie pj's and his diaper) He said he has to go POOPOO!

SMACK. Chunk of poop hits the floor out of Chase's diaper

Matt: Where is the training potty??

Me: There is poop on the floor! I think it's in the attic. (keep in mind Chase is 18 months old)

Matt then sits Chase on the big potty and Chase starts SCREAMING his head off.

Me: You're going to traumatize him and he'll never use the potty again.

Now Matt takes Chase off the potty then disappears out of the bathroom. AFTER cleaning up the poop off the floor. I think the fiasco is over. I continue curling my hair. Then I hear Chase playing with the shower door. I look down. He is still naked and has left multiple LARGE poo-presents all over the bathroom and hallway. Now he is crusing around naked. And aparently done going "poo-poo".

Me: (yelling with hot curling iron in my hand) MATT!!!! Where are you??

Matt: In the attic!

Me: (bless his little heart) WHY are you in the attic?

Matt: I'm trying to find the training potty!

Me: (thinking: now I know why we're always late to church on sunday) Chase just POOPED all over the floor! Why didn't you put a diaper on him??

Matt: Because I wanted him to use the potty!

Me: And you thought he could hold it while you searched the attic for it?

Matt: (laughing) oops.

Me: (laughing) clean it up.

I love my life, I love my kids, I love my husband.....even if we can't seem to get our acts together to make it to church on time.

One of the many joys of Germany.

Here's a picture of the kids all bundled up for a bike ride in our new bike trailer that we bought shortly after we got here. A guy who was retiring sold it to us and had almost never used it. Got it for 25 buck. SWEET. It's so awesome here because there are bike trails EVERYWHERE. You could ride bikes all day and never have to go on a main road. (almost never).
Just wanted to throw something up here so the blog doesn't get too boring. I'm so grateful for my good life, my good husband (great husband....usually), my beautiful kids (notice I didn't say "good" kids, because I'm trying to be positive here), our cozy home, our wonderful friends all over the world, and all the blessings the Lord continues to send our way. I don't know what it is that we have done to deserve so much, but I'm truely grateful.

I looked out the window and what did I see??

When I walked out my front door this morning, the sight I saw literally took my breath away. I'm sure you see why....

Our comings and goings

So here are a couple of late Christmas Day pictures. I was video taping while Matt helped with the unwrapping and did the picture taking. As a result, not many pictures were taken. But here is Chase with his new "man toy". Matt felt it was very important for a little boy to get a tonka truck as early on as possible in order to secure his masculinity for life. He played with it for 5 minutes. :) I'm sure he'll show more interest as he gets older and can maneuver this HUGE toy a little better.
Hallie helping Chase unwrap his present. He got lots of cars...and is a happy boy. Hallie looks like an 80's rock star (in pink footie pajamas of course).

Meet Hallie's baby, Charlotte. I don't know if there is something wrong with Hallie or what, but look how far she can stick her stomach out!! This is a little person who's 2T pants still fall off of her. Well, Hallie can tell you why she can do it. There's a baby in there. She even lets us watch it kick sometimes. I'm WAY too young to be a grandma. :)

Chase in the tub. I just love this little man. He's SUPER naughty and loves to say NOOOO. He drags the word out as long as he can for dramatic emphasis. I love it.

YAY for snow! I guess it never really snows here. But it did the other night! It was so fun letting Hallie go out and play in the snow. Matt taught her how to make snow angels.

Love this girl. I know I'm a little biased as her Mom...but she is so stinkin beautiful. She just keeps getting more and more gorgeous. I'm nervous for what the next 20 years will bring.
