Fun in the Sun

It was a bright and sunny 80 degrees today here in Orange County and we decided to take advantage of it. Alicia and Owen came over for the afternoon so I could highlight alicia's hair for her. When we were done we decided to make our backyard into a water park (using the hose). There was a water slide, water bike, slip and slide on the slippery grass, it was really fun. They both had a really good time and didn't want it to end when it was time for Alicia and Owen to go home. Alicia's hair turned out really cute too.

Why would I chop 10 inches off of my hair on a whim? Because I can. Because I needed a drastic change. And because Matt says it makes me look "cleaner". :) Nice compliment huh. I cut my hair this short when I was in cosmetology school and Matt LOVED it and has been telling me how much he loved it for the past two years. So, I needed a hair cut and I decided to go with one that would force me to have to do my hair everyday instead of throwing it up in a pony tail. Maybe the pony tails are what made me look not clean. haha, I love Matt.

These are just a few pictures from Disneyland on Friday (Matt's b-day) and playing in the back yard yesterday. It was like 80 degrees yesterday. Talk about a cold winter.

Daddy/Hallie Day

I had to go to a 6 hour tutoring session today to prepare for my California cosmetology boards that I'm taking this coming wednesday, so Matt took the day off work to stay home with Hallie and they had such a fun day! She told me all about it when I got home. They went to the park, the pet store, mowed the back lawn, played on Hallie's slide (her baby and bear got to take rides on the slide too), they cleaned the house for me, and even had dinner in the oven when I got home. So all in all...I think Matt makes a better homemaker than I do! I couldn't have accomplished all those things in one day. I came home from my day of tutoring EXHAUSTED and with a headache. But it made me so happy to come to such a wonderful husband and such a happy baby. Here are some pics of Hallie and her Daddy (who by the way is turning 27 tomorrow) playing together. She loves her Dad so much I can't even believe it. And I love the two of them so much I can't even believe it. It seems like our lives are so perfect right now it's going to be weird to mix it all up and add another baby. But we are all still really looking forward to it.
